Design Narrative
A weekend retreat organized around twin central courtyards, exposed board-formed concrete, and reclaimed teakwood.
Located amidst betel nut plantations in Alibaug, this residence is designed around the traditional Indian 'Chowk' (courtyard) concept, reinterpreted through board-formed architectural concrete and minimalist steel trusses.
The house breathes naturally through louvered operable screens, eliminating the need for constant mechanical cooling. An infinity pool clad in local Sukabumi green stone mirrors the coastal canopy.
